Rated
as the best designed small theater in the southwest at the time of its'
completion, the Brookhaven College Theater continues to be technically
superior. The fly loft houses a counterweighted T-track scenery handling
system of 30 line sets capacity. Overhead, hang acoustical clouds
positioned to reinforce sound to the audience. High above are interlinked
catwalks to beams, control booth, and backstage grid. Lighting locations
are above, to the side as well as from the balcony rail. Electronic
sound reinforcement includes distributed and clustered sound systems for
production sound and voice reinforcement. To the sides of the audience
hall are moveable acoustical panels which vary reverberation time from
1.5 - 2.0 seconds. |
