The Katy Trail | |

The Katy Trail is comprised of 3.7 miles of the abandoned Missouri Kansas Texas rail line from Alamo Street near the West End of Downtown Dallas To Airline Road near the railroad right-of-way's juncture with Central Expressway (U.S. 75). The redevelopment of the rail right-of-way for a pedestrian jogging/bicycle path serves to link several neighborhoods in inner north Dallas and provide alternative means of transportation to the automobile. This new transportation corridor affords a safe bicycle route for students attending schools near downtown as well as a source of recreation for those dwelling nearby. |
